This short video presents a methodology for monitoring river profiles and discharge using the Off-Nadir FFSAR technique, a new processing chain developed for profile/discharge estimation. By integrating river width derived from Sentinel-1 satellite, the off-nadir processing approach enables the estimation of river discharge since 2016 without the need for gauge-based calibration.

In the series “My paper in 140s”, scientists from the Collaborative Research Center 1502 'DETECT' present syntheses of their project work that have been published in peer-reviewed papers.
